I have a question though, how come u got the spoon calipers without bigger discs? Better pedalfeel, larger padarea or the blingfactor?

The standard front disc's are big enough for fast road use.
In the future I'll swap them for some DBA discs. But the power of the brakes for the power my car has now is more than enough. It stops very fast, fade free everytime.
The blingfactor is a nice bonus though! <!--emo&:D--><!--endemo-->

You must be one of the few CTR's owners that have focused more on handling than on engine power. When I first started reading your post I thought that you had added one 0 too many in the cost for the upgrades since you "only" had 225 hp at the wheels. But I realise that the £6500 figure is correct when I see all the other upgrades (breakes, Quaife LSD, clutch, coilovers etc etc)!
Great job!
I really like the blue Spoon calipers! But I'm not that fond of the rear spolier...
Carbon fibre is not my favourite, but that's just me!

225bhp is at the flywheel. Only got 182 at the wheels! <!--emo&--><!--endemo-->
Upgrade the handling and transmission before going for big power. No point in accelerating twice as fast if you can't stop or turn as well. In my opinion. <!--emo&;)--><!--endemo-->
I thought about painting the spoiler, but it grew on me and now I really like it.

Nice car!

Good point. I'm going to swap to the AEM Long Ram that puts the filter in front of the front wheels. The V2 is overrated, I don't really like it, gets a lot of rain spray from the left wheel
and rubs on the tower bar <!--emo&:(--><!--endemo-->
As wriid said though, I would like the GruppeM, but the Dyno graphs seem to show the AEM Long Ram makes as good power. GruppeM = £450, AEM Ram = £190. <!--emo&--><!--endemo-->
But I'm not a big fan of the Mugen. It does not make good BHP so you just pay for the 'cool' factor of the Mugen name.

A lot of the work has been done by TDi North/System R <a href='

Oh wriid, you're right I don't actually know anybody that has fitted the JDM box in a UK Type R. It must have been done. The Quaife cost £550, but I think it's better than the JDM. Not as rough. The Quaife is very progressive. Also I think the JDM is a plate diff, which can wear out and break. The quaife is non maintenance so I don't have to worry <!--emo&--><!--endemo-->
