A South African hello...from Göteborg!

Hello!



My name is Brent and I am the proud new owner of an '07 S2000 AP1 facelift in Platinum White Pearl here in Göteborg. It's a dream car purchase and a life goal achivement - so a pretty big deal for me.
My history with Honda stretches many years back, having worked at several dealerships (just after S2000 production stopped, so I never ever got to sell one). I also co-founded, chaired and administered the Honda Owners Club of South Africa between 2007 and 2011, which is where I am from. Now in Sweden working for Polestar, Volvo's new electric performance brand. It will certainly be interesting to balance this screaming VTEC drop-top with my upcoming electric Polestar 2!

I'm sure some of you recognise this car. Glad to be here and back in the Honda community. My previous Hondas were a 1992 Civic Ferio EH9 D16A (made in South Africa by Honda's then bedfellow Mercedes-Benz and in fact her VIN started with DC2!!) and a 2011 Jazz GE8 L15A. Sold the latter when I started working for Volvo Cars which led to me moving to Sweden for Polestar.

Looking forward to meeting up one day when life returns to (new) normal.

I also have a 2008 Civic 1.8 - I'll probably put some Eibach lowering springs on it and some wheel spacers for better fitment.

In case you missed it - we have two types of membership - paid and unpaid. You'll see a "HPC Medlem" or similar under the members of the club who have paid membership. With paid membership you get access to the members-only part of the forum, which includes project threads, and also to our events like track days etc.
Now is a perfect time to become a member because from October onwards you get the rest of the year "for free"... So pay for 2021 and get the rest of this year included

It might be easy to miss this if you don't speak Swedish - we should probably do something about that...

Thanks! I have some plans for this car. But first need to get used to it and understand what I want.
First of all - need to change stereo. Need Bluetooth and CarPlay.
Then I'll think about other stuff - like 18" rims, better brakes, chip tuning etc.

I know Swedish on elementary level. Can read and speak, but have some problems with slang and specific technical words. So Google translate helps, but use it in a separate tab. I don't feed the complete site into Google translate.
